Disrespecting God Brings Judgement
HONOUR: means High Respect or Great Esteem
God passed a judgement in verse 31, that all the men in his family line would die young; because his sons disrespected God’s worship in the Temple.
God made sure to add a sign to show that His judgement was going into effect
_*1 Samuel 2:34*_
_And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them._
– Be careful how you serve God; do not play with His work, because He takes it serious
– Taking God’s work for a joke is a direct disrespect to Him which attracts generational judgement
