Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Angle: The ultimate goal of deliverance is that we share in Christ’s eternal glory.

Main Scripture:

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” (Colossians 1:13)

Reflection:

We were freed from darkness and brought into a kingdom of glory. Every earthly deliverance points to that eternal reality.

1.For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18)

Father in Heaven, let the hope of future glory strengthen me through present battles in Jesus Name Amen.

Prayer: Father in Heaven, keep our eyes on the day when our assignments are complete and we are forever with You in Jesus Name Amen.

Prayer: Father in Heaven, my Deliverer, receive everlasting glory for loving, washing, and freeing me from darkness in Jesus Name Amen.
