HELP TO MINISTER BY THE SPIRIT

THEME SCRIPTURE:
‎“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
‎(Acts 10:38)

Main Scripture:
1 Peter 4:11: “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

Reflection:

‎Talent and preparation matter, but they are not substitutes for the Holy Ghost. We must ask for help to minister with both skill and compassion.

‎Action Points with Scriptures:

‎1. Pray before each rehearsal, lesson, recording, or service.  
‎
‎   Ephesians 6:10: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”

‎2. Prepare your gift and build your spiritual life.
‎
‎   1 Timothy 4:15: “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.”

‎3. Direct attention to Christ rather than your performance.

‎   2 Corinthians 4:5: “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.”
