GOOD TIDINGS TO THE MEEK

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Angle: Jesus delivers us by bringing the good news to us; then He sends us out as carriers of that same good news.

Reflection:
Blessing begins when we hear and receive the good tidings of Jesus which are salvation, forgiveness, and hope. As we are changed by this message, we become everyday messengers of the same good news to others.

Prayer: Father in Heaven, thank You for bringing good news into my emptiness; let my life now preach this gospel to the poor and meek around me in Jesus Name Amen.
2.“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:3)
Prayer: Father in Heaven, Make me truly poor in spirit—dependent, humble, and ready to receive and share Your kingdom in Jesus Name Amen.
3.“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” (Isaiah 52:7)
Prayer: Father in Heaven, Beautify my feet with readiness to go, speak, sing, and live out Your good tidings wherever You send me in Jesus Name Amen.
