ANOINTED CORRECTION AND COUNSEL
Monthly Theme: O LORD, MY STRENGTH
THEME SCRIPTURE:
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Main Scripture:
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. (Proverbs 27:6)
Reflection:
Ministers sometimes must confront and correct. God’s strength enables you to do it with words that are truthful, loving, and acceptable in His sight.
Action Points (with Scriptures):
1.When correcting, aim for restoration, not humiliation.
Scripture: Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. (Galatians 6:1)
2.Check your heart before speaking—ensure you are not reacting from anger or pride.
Scripture: “The wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” (James 1:20)
3.Pray that your counsel will reflect God’s wisdom and strength, not human opinion.
Scripture: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:5)
Supporting Scriptures & Prayers:
- A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. (Proverbs 15:1)
Prayer: Father in Heaven, give me soft answers that turn away wrath when I must speak hard truths in Jesus Name Amen.
2. But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: (Ephesians 4:15)
Prayer: Father in Heaven, help me speak truth wrapped in love, not in the flesh in Jesus Name Amen.
3. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)
Prayer: Father in Heaven, use my words as instruments of restoration in Jesus Name Amen.
ALTAR CALL
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (KJV):
“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
John 3:16 — For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
