EXAMPLES OF EFFECTIVE TEAMS IN SCRUPTURE
The Bible provides numerous examples of effective teams working together to fulfill God’s purposes. These teams demonstrate unity, collaboration, and shared vision.
1. Moses, Aaron, and Hur (Exodus 17:12)
“But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.”
2. The Twelve Apostles (Mark 3:14-15)
“And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.”
3. Paul, Silas, and Timothy (Acts 16:1-3)
“Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium. Him would Paul have to go forth with him.”
4. Nehemiah and the Builders (Nehemiah 4:6)
“So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.”
5. David and His Mighty Men (2 Samuel 23:8)
“These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.”
6. The Early Church (Acts 2:42, 44)
“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And all that believed were together, and had all things common.”
7. Joshua and Caleb (Numbers 14:6-9)
“And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.”
