The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised, (Luke 4:18)

Reflection:
Jesus, the Anointed One, also anoints His ministers to proclaim salvation. Ministry flows from knowing Him as Saviour personally.

Supporting Scriptures for Prayer:

1.For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

Prayer: Lord, anoint me with boldness to preach the gospel without shame.

2.But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; (1 Corinthians 1:23)

Prayer: Father in Heaven, Center my ministry on Christ the Saviour, not on myself.

3.“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

Prayer: Father in Heaven, help me to reach out to my generation with Your saving message.
