Psalms 24:6-8 – KJV

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. 7. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

WHAT ARE GATES?

• An access point into a boundary or border or dimension, city, nation etc
• A place of Beginning or Ending a journey
• A time of entry or exit into a season e.g.
• An authority or command centre

Gates are points of contention because anyone who has access to the gate has access to the city.

The gates of a land determine the prosperity of the land

Isaiah 60:11 – KJV

Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

Isaiah 60:18 – KJV
