Grace for Greater Works

Grace for Greater Works

2 Corinthians 6:1
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

Workers

As believers, we are referred to as workers in several instances by scripture.

We are in the Kingdom of God to work not to play.
It is sad that many Christians, even “music ministers”, take this on a rather lighter note.

Why are you a Christian?
What contributions are you making to the Kingdom of God?

Listen to what Jesus has to say in John 5:17:
But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

Work in Hebrew (melâ’kâh) means “action” or “transaction”; in other words doing business.

So in effect if Jesus is in business because our Heavenly Father is in business, then what must you do?

Be productive in God’s business!

From 2 Cor 6:1, we see that God has given us the grace to do His work and we are warned not to take it in vain.

The Grace for Work

If you take your secular job more seriously than your music work for God, then you have not yet understood the Grace of God.

You were created for God’s work on earth (Ephesians 2:10); everything else is secondary.

This is the only way to exercise dominion on earth; so take charge of your ministry now!

Whatsoever opportunity you have now to work for God, do it with all your strength now while it is your day because your night is coming when you will not have the ability to do so anymore. (John 9:4).

Greater Works

Jesus tell us that we will do Greater Works than He did. He has given us His Holy Spirit, therefore no one has any excuse.
Take full advantage of God’s grace today to do great and mighty works for The Lord.

Prayer

Thank You Lord for the grace to work for You, Amen.

I see Grace Overflowing in your life
